The Symphony Hall
The Symphony Hall is designed in the European classical style. Its ceiling, with the traditional Chinese festive pattern of fireworks display, is a combination of eastern and western cultures. The hall is mainly designed in red and golden, colors of nobleness and elegance, to try to create a brilliant art atmosphere. There are 1,600 seats in the symphony. The stage in the concert hall is 19 meters high and the orchestra pit is 20 meters wide, 12 meters deep, and 1 meter high. An organ, made by the German family-run organ builder Johannes Kles, which also builds the organ in the Cologne Cathedral in Germany, is in the deeper part of the stage of the symphony hall. The 68-diapason, 4,576- pipe organ has two performance tables. The concert hall has one Steinway piano of Germany and one Bessendorf piano of Austria, two world top brands.
Chamber Music Hall
The Chamber Music Hall is designed on the theme of water, which is always in the blood of the Wuhan people. The idea is to trace image of water back to the classical European civilization, the birthplace of symphony. The walls are covered with flexible patterns resembling water to create a romantic fantasy. With blue being the main color and flying lines, the patterns help bring about a unique charm of the chamber.
